I'm thankful for you.

It’s that time of year. I’ve been pretty open in posts all year about the feeling of gratitude I have to be given this opportunity to build a golf company. It’s hard. Really hard. But I love every day of it. We’re a small team grinding to build the best golf eco-system we can and we have some big things coming in the very near future.

But you can’t preach presence on the golf course and forget to practice it elsewhere.

In no particular order… These are things I’m immensely thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Those of you that have leaned in on this journey to play your best golf and parted with hard earned money to trust us along the way… I couldn’t be more grateful. I’m building this platform because I believe in it and I know it works on the mission to play better golf.

You’ve got a lot of options on where to spend your money and I feel truly blessed to have every one of you that has purchased from us. We’ll continue working hard to make sure that its money well spent.

The rest of you that still use the platform or casually follow us. Maybe you use free features and debate crossing the threshold. I’m thankful for you too. Giving us a chance, opening these newsletters, buying into the culture. You’re all a part of the community and the momentum and I’m grateful you’re here with eyes on these thoughts. You may not know you need us yet, but we’ll get there. :)

It has been an unbelievable year for me on the golf course. I was able to play some unbelievable golf courses with some unbelievable people. The highlight being an unplanned trip to Ireland. Getting to play Royal Portrush with Gerry Carry was an all time highlight that I won’t soon forget. We pushed our match at Jameson Links.

Big thanks to Beyond Golf Tours for putting it all together. Meeting the CEO of Bald Head Blues in Claude… and beating him in a match at Castlerock.

Then meeting Rati Golf. A great dude. He ended up beating me in a match at Portstewart that just might have been the best front 9 of golf I’ve ever seen. Lucky for me, him beating me meant he had to give me a lesson which we’ll post soon.

After a few health scares with my pops last year I made it an absolute priority to take him to Bandon Dunes this year. My dad told me his entire military and teaching career that when he retired he was going to dedicate himself to golf. I never believed him, but he’s done it. He loves the game and I wouldn’t trade those days walking Bandon for anything. I will treasure these days forever.

I don’t know how your significant other would react if you told her you were going to quit your high paying engineering job to chase a golf business… but it takes a special woman to support this jump from a cliff. She’s been by my side the whole way and even took a week off work to caddie for me at the US Am Tour National Championship. Immensely thankful for my beautiful bride.

It’s a little like the highs and lows of trying to lower your handicap. Some days you feel like you can’t miss… some days you want to give up the game. Either way, you have to enjoy the journey and be grateful you get to ride the roller coaster. We sponsored the hat of a caddy Jason.
